Another weekend, another family escape!
Oli has been asking to go camping for a while, and that is not my idea of a fun time, so we compromised with glamping, which is much more my style! We found a gorgeous little pod in Pembrokeshire, which is a part of Wales I've not spent time in before, so we packed the car and set off on a long drive to South Wales.
The Hafan Fach Glamping Pod is a real find - one that we're already looking at when we can return to! Situated near Stackpole, this is a self-contained glamping unit on private land, separated from the main house by large hedgerows and trees, overlooking a field of sheep and the Welsh hills in the distance, so it felt really secluded and private - though the hosts were on hand via text message whenever we needed them.
We arrived in the evening, and it immediately felt like stepping into a magical woodland with fairy lights twinkling through the trees. The pretty pod was clean and cosy, with everything we needed for our stay: inside, we had a TV, fridge and kitchen utensils, sink, shower room and WC, super comfortable double bed (which had a hollow base filled with games, DVDs, and spare bedding), and sofa which folded flat into another sleeping option.

We arrived to a lovely welcome snack board, and there was coffee and milk all ready for us. Outside we had a picnic table, barbecue firepit, and, of course, the hot tub (which was blissful!) Oli enjoyed playing in the trees, hopping across the stepping circles between the pod and tub, and curling up on the picnic chairs as evening fell.
Hafan Fach is perfectly situated for exploring Pembrokeshire - and with so much to do nearby we'll definitely be back - there's also a nearby holiday cottage which sleeps up to six, so maybe we'll make it a group trip next time!
